Er betrieb auch einen Handel mit Baustoffen. Dieses Unternehmen gab er 1857 an seinem Sohn Johann weiter, der wiederum es 1875 an seinen Sohn Theodor \u00fcbertrug. Theodor Dickmann f\u00fchrte das Gesch\u00e4ft bis 1928 und gab es dann an seinen Sohn Johann weiter. Zus\u00e4tzlich zum Baugesch\u00e4ft, das gegen\u00fcber des Hauses lag, betrieb Dickmann in seinem Haus auch eine Gastst\u00e4tte.
